Thanks to your donations the Stoma Team at York Hospital have recently re-started the popular Patient Support Group, with monthly meet ups offering support from others with stomas. Recently the team hosted a meal which was attended by local patients.
Both the monthly meet and the meal allow patients to meet face to face in a relaxed environment, helping them to realise they are not alone, to share stories and tips on dealing with a stoma.
